The high density black silicon carbide fused by heating high purity silicon sand and carbon in a big electrode furnace at above 2500 0C. With high density, big crystal, and good purity, it is widely used in abrasive, refractory and ceramic industry.

CF-16 is a black, friable, medium bulk density silicon carbide abrasive grain. To get this kind of grains, we specially process the ingots, separate the magnetic material, and sieve the grains carefully to get a complete range of grit sizes.

Applications:

CF-16 is used in making vitrified bonded grinding wheels, resign bonded grinding wheels. As loose grains, it is widely used for pressure blasting, surface finish and other general industrial applications.
